Company background:
The RS Aqua booth will focus on two “wave” measuring products - "WaveRadar REX" and “Waverider”.
The company is the exclusive international distributor for the Saab Rosemount “WaveRadar REX” wave and water level sensor used extensively within the offshore oil & gas, renewable energy and coastal monitoring markets. The hardware is supported by display software programme "WaveView". The original WaveRadar product was introduced to the offshore industry in 1994 and quickly established itself as a contender for market leadership. The introduction of the enhanced, dual microprocessor “WaveRadar REX” version in 2000 saw the product advance to industry standard status within the oil & gas market place. Complementary markets quickly developed within renewable energy and coastal monitoring where proven levels of reliability and accuracy are identified as key features.
In January 2005 RS Aqua entered into a collaborative agreement with Datawell BV, The Netherlands, to market their range of Waverider buoys and motion sensors. This formal collaboration followed a multi year informal trading relationship between the two companies. On display at SOC will be the latest solid-state (GPS) sensor based Waverider, the new solar power option and other recent Datawell developments.
From its base in central southern England, RS Aqua offers full technical support, including training courses, for both WaveRadar REX and Waverider products.
