Company background:
Seaview Sensing Ltd is a marine information company that provides high-quality consultancy, research and software for measurement, analysis and interpretation of wave, wind and current parameters.
These parameters are key determining factors in the monitoring and understanding of environmental processes such as climate change, coastal erosion, flooding and pollution, and for activities in coastal seas such as oil and gas installations, renewable energy systems and harbour management.
Seaview products centre on software developed by Prof Lucy Wyatt of Sheffield University, which processes phased array HF radar data to provide real-time wave, wind and current information with a high spatial and temporal resolution and large area coverage. The software is portable and platform independent in that it can be set up with any suitable radar. Currently our software is being used with Helzel’s WERA radar and Neptune Radar’s Pieces radar in the UK.
